If you’re looking for a fun project to do with kids, then try making your own wall art using paints. It’s easy to do and requires very little skill. All you’ll need is some paper, a pencil, a brush, and a bucket of water.

Create a Color Palette.

Start with a palette of colors that work well together. You’ll need at least three colors to make a good palette. Choose two warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows) and one cool color (blues, greens, purples). Then choose a third neutral color (white, gray, black).

Start Painting.

Once you’ve got your design down pat, it’s time to start painting. There are several different ways to do so, but we recommend using spray paint. It dries quickly and leaves behind a durable finish. To make your own wall art, start by choosing a canvas. A large piece of the canvas will work well for larger pieces, while smaller canvases are ideal for small pieces. Next, choose a color palette. Think about what colors complement each other and contrast each other.

Finish with a Coat of Sealant.

After you’re done painting, seal the walls with a coat of primer. This will help protect the wall from any future damage. Then apply two coats of paint, one on top of the other. Let each coat dry completely before applying the next.

Add Details.

Once you’ve chosen your colors, add details to your artwork. This includes adding texture with paint, stencils, or stamps. If you’re feeling ambitious, try painting on top of another layer of paint!
